Our Whole Pasture-Raised Turkey is the ultimate centerpiece for your holiday feast or family gathering, and is truly one of a kind! Raised on lush, mobile pastures, these turkeys roam freely with their coops moved daily to fresh patches of grass, ensuring they live in clean, natural conditions. This method provides healthy birds raised without the use of pharmaceuticals — just as nature intended.

What sets our turkeys apart is the careful attention to their diet. Supplemented with a custom-made, low PUFA corn and soy-free feed, our turkeys enjoy a feed blend that’s not only nutrient-rich but also low in PUFAs (polyunsaturated fatty acids), which is essential for preserving the health-promoting properties of the meat. Unlike most “corn & soy-free” options out there that contain other high-PUFA ingredients, we carefully avoid sunflower, flax and other sources of phytoestrogens, ensuring that your turkey is as clean and nourishing as possible.

These white breed turkeys move around freely and forage on a wide variety of nutrients from the pasture, yielding higher levels of collagen, as well as essential vitamins and minerals, providing a significant nutritional advantage over conventionally raised, confinement barn turkeys.

Unlike the turkey you’ll find at your local grocery store, which is often packed with preservatives and fillers, our turkeys are 100% pure meat with nothing added. No artificial ingredients, no junk—just clean, nutritious, and flavorful meat that you can feel good about feeding your family.

When it comes to taste, you won’t find a better tasting and cleaner turkey – it’s full of rich, savory flavor, with juicy meat and crisp skin that will impress your guests and become a staple at your table for years to come.

Since these turkeys are more active, foraging on diverse pastures, their meat contains more collagen, making slow cooking the key to achieving the perfect tenderness and flavor. By cooking the turkey slowly, you’ll unlock the full potential of its tender, flavorful meat, making every bite a wholesome experience.

Cooking Tips:
- Roasting: For a traditional, flavorful roast, we recommend cooking your turkey at a low temperature (around 325°F) - about 13 minutes per pound. Baste periodically to keep the meat moist and ensure a golden, crispy skin. The slow roasting process helps break down the collagen, making the meat wonderfully tender.

- Braising: For an incredibly moist and tender turkey (and a method that is less intimidating and fool proof, try first cutting the turkey into parts (breast, thigh, drumsticks, and wings) and then braising. Brown the turkey pieces, then cook it in a flavorful liquid (like water, stock, broth or wine) and your favorite herbs at low heat for 2.5-3 hours. This method allows the collagen to break down slowly, infusing the meat with rich flavor.

- Slow Cooker: If you want a hands-off method, braise the turkey in a slow cooker on low for 6-8 hours. The slow simmer allows the collagen to melt away, leaving you with juicy, fall-apart meat that’s perfect for shredding.

Bonus Tip: Make sure you save your bones after your holiday meal to make a nourishing bone broth! The collagen-rich bones from our pasture-raised turkeys make a flavorful and health-boosting broth that’s perfect for soups, stews, or sipping on its own.

Custom-Feed: corn- & soy-free, low in PUFAs

Modern turkey contains significantly higher levels of polyunsaturated fats (PUFAs) than in the past, largely due to changes in feed (you are what you eat, eats). Conventional diets rely heavily on corn, soy, and other PUFA-rich ingredients, which directly influence the fatty acid composition of the meat. Even pasture-raised turkeys require supplemental feed, meaning they can still accumulate elevated levels of omega-6 fats depending on what they’re fed.

That’s why at Nourish, we’ve developed a custom corn- and soy-free nutrient-dense feed for our birds: carefully crafted to lower the PUFA content in our meat to better support your overall health and metabolism.

In addition to feed, processing methods matter. Many store-bought turkeys are injected with saline solutions, phosphates, and preservatives to enhance moisture and shelf life. These can include additives like sodium nitrites and sodium benzoate, further altering the quality of the final product.

By prioritizing both better feed and cleaner processing, we produce turkey that is truly nourishing, free from unnecessary additives and excess inflammatory PUFAs. When you choose Nourish turkey, you’re getting more than corn- and soy-free meat, you’re getting food raised with intention, integrity, and care.

Mobile Pasture-Raised for Optimal Nutrition

Turkeys raised on pasture have access to a more diverse, nutrient-rich diet, including supplemental feed, fresh grasses, plants, and insects. This variety enhances their nutrient intake, which is then reflected in the quality of the meat you consume. Pasture-raised animal products are often richer in fat-soluble vitamins. For example, vitamin D levels increase with sunlight exposure, as animals synthesize it in their skin and store it in their fat. Vitamin K2 levels are also influenced by diet, with grass-fed animals typically containing higher amounts of this essential nutrient. Truly pasture-raised animals may also contain higher levels of beneficial compounds like polyphenols, which support gut and overall health.

In contrast, animals raised in confinement are limited to a uniform feed source, resulting in a less diverse nutrient profile and a less nutrient-dense final product.

At Nourish, we take this a step further through mobile pasture-based practices. Our turkeys are moved daily to fresh pasture, ensuring continuous access to new grasses and insects while preventing overgrazing. Unlike the loosely defined “pasture-raised” label, this system protects soil health, preserves vegetation, and supports a more natural environment for the animals. The result is healthier turkeys, more sustainable land use, and ultimately, more nutrient-dense food for you.

Healthier Turkeys, Free of Pharmaceuticals

Healthy animals don’t need pharmaceutical crutches! Our turkeys are raised in optimal conditions: on mobile pasture with daily access to fresh grass, clean air, and the ability to express their natural instincts. Unlike confined birds raised in crowded barns, our turkeys are not exposed to excessive waste buildup or poor air quality. Instead, they forage freely and benefit from nutrient-rich pasture that supports gut and immune health. While turkeys cannot survive on grass alone, regular access to fresh pasture provides valuable nutrients and fiber that contribute to overall well-being.

This environment greatly reduces the need for routine pharmaceutical interventions. So we do not use vaccines, antibiotics, hormones or other drugs.

Conventional turkeys, often raised in confinement and bred for rapid growth, rely heavily on antibiotics and aggressive vaccination schedules to maintain health under stressful conditions. In contrast, our pasture-raised turkeys move more, experience less stress, and develop stronger immune systems. The result is healthier animals and more nutrient-dense meat: raised without unnecessary inputs and in alignment with regenerative farming principles.
