Our Skin-On, Bone-In Chicken Breasts (also known as Split Chicken) offer an unbeatable combination of tenderness, juiciness, and rich flavor. With the skin and bone intact, these cuts lock in moisture during cooking, resulting in a succulent and flavorful dish. The skin is rich in collagen, providing a boost of collagen amino acids (commonly found in bone broth) that are crucial for anti-inflammatory, gut-healing, and metabolism-boosting benefits. These collagen amino acids help balance out the muscle meat amino acids in the breast, ensuring a more nourishing and well-rounded meal. Additionally, the skin crisps up beautifully when roasted or grilled, giving you a satisfying, crispy texture that enhances the overall eating experience.
Just like all of our pasture-raised chicken, these breasts are a nutrient-dense, complete protein source, packed with B3, B6, choline, and selenium—key nutrients that support energy production, brain health, and immune function.
Unlike conventional chicken, which is raised in factory farms with heavy antibiotic and vaccine use, our chickens are mobile pasture-raised, moved to fresh pasture daily, and never confined in industrial barns. This natural lifestyle allows them to forage for grass, bugs, and other nutrient-dense foods, creating a healthier, more flavorful final product.
Additionally, we feed our birds a custom-made, one-of-a-kind, low-PUFA, corn- and soy-free feed, grown by our regenerative row crop farmers. Not only is it low in PUFAs, but it is also low in phytoestrogens and pesticides (LowPs™)—reducing your exposure to endocrine disrupting compounds, and ensuring that you get the cleanest, healthiest chicken possible.
Raised in harmony with nature, our chickens are needle-free, meaning no pharmaceutical interventions are used or needed (no vaccines, antibiotics, dewormers, or hormones). The result? A superior-tasting, clean protein source you can trust.

Bone-in, skin-on chicken breasts will not disappoint - the skin helps retain moisture during cooking, and the bone adds richness to the meat. When cooking bone-in breasts, it’s best to cook them at a moderate temperature to prevent the skin from burning while allowing the meat to cook through. Whether roasting, grilling, or braising, always consider letting the chicken rest after cooking to redistribute the juices.
Recipe Ideas:
- Oven-Roasted Chicken Breast: Season with your favorite herbs and roast at 375°F for 45-50 minutes for a juicy, flavorful result. Pair with roasted vegetables or mashed potatoes.
- Grilled Chicken Breast: Marinate the breasts in a zesty marinade (like lemon and garlic), then grill over medium heat for 25-30 minutes until the internal temperature reaches 165°F.
- Braised Chicken Breasts: Braise bone-in breasts in a flavorful liquid (like stock or wine) or water for a rich and tender result. Add aromatics like garlic, onions, and herbs for added depth of flavor.
- Stuffed Chicken Breasts: For a heartier meal, stuff the breasts with your favorite green vegetables, cheese, and herbs, then bake until golden and the meat is tender.
